Born in Western Australia, the great grandson of Captain James Tilly, a founding father of Broome’s pearling industry, Rohan Milne developed a passion for designing and crafting jewellery at a tender age. With a finite commitment to traditional handcrafting methods, he has worked in Rome and New York, before returning to his home town of Perth in 2007, and with wife Toni, founded Rohan Jewellers.
As a member of the Argyle Pink Diamond Select Atelier TM network, Rohan Milne has a long standing passion for working with Australian diamonds. “With the Argyle mine set to close in 2020, it is a unique opportunity to be offering these increasingly rare and sought-after gems at an affordable price. We wanted to highlight Champagne diamonds in our designs and share their unique beauty with the world, especially with those who appreciate their finite rarity.”
Award-winning designer, Simon Henderson, boasts more than three decades of experience in designing and handcrafting fine jewellery. Henderson is internationally recognised for his design innovation, passion for, and expert knowledge of pearls and pearl jewellery in Australia. He has designed some of the most coveted pearl jewellery in Australia, with many of his pieces gaining icon status both nationally and internationally.
As master jeweller and head designer at Kailis Jewellery for 18 years, Simon played a lead role in the development of the Kailis Jewellery brand, as it became the international benchmark for style, quality and craftsmanship for Australian South Sea pearls.
As a designer, Simon has an innate appreciation for organic form – which is reflected in his creations. His jewellery is sophisticated and versatile. Every element is highly considered and has its place within the piece.
